Maritza Hernandez is a Sculptor & Artistic Project Liaison

Maritza Hernandez is an accomplished, international master sculptor and graduate of classes at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Art Institute of Miami, Loyola University, and museum studies at Northwestern University.

Versed in public relations and project management, Maritza is also a renowned marketing professional with over thirty years of hands on experience. Maritza is partner and co-founder of Hernandez & Garcia LLC, the first Hispanic women-owned public relations firm and full-service advertising agency in Chicago.

Maritza has been an associate sculptor with Rotblatt -Amrany Studios for over two decades as both an artist-in-residence and project manager. She’s been commissioned to create life-size bronze statues of Minnie Miñoso at The Chicago White Sox, Roberto Clemente at Roberto Clemente State Park in New York, Saint Josemaria Escrivá in Rome, Dr. Rev. Johnny Colemon in Chicago, AVE for Casa Jesus for the Archdiocese of Chicago, and several corporate sculptures including Mother & Child for the McDonald’s Corporation in the heart of Downtown Chicago, and the founder of Goya Foods in New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and Spain.
